ur company was founded in 1932 by H.O. Troup and his wife, Addie Lee, under the name "Troup's Photo Service, Inc." Since our inception we have been in a constant state of growth. In the early days, after the depression, any business was indeed a challenge. With a portrait studio, Mr. Troup found it necessary to borrow money to buy supplies for even the smallest jobs. Obtaining the job, borrowing money for printing paper, delivering the finished pictures and repaying the loan became a way of life for the Troups. Later, mail order developing and printing became the business emphasis. At one time as many as 600 rolls of film arrived in Toccoa at 4:30 a.m. and the Troups began their day...two prints and return postage all for only 25 cents!

n the years to follow, our operation has strived to keep up with the changing times. Today, Troup's is a leading business housed in downtown Toccoa with eighteen employees. In these modern times we have progressed from film processing to a multi-faceted operation specializing in timeless images of children, couples, families, brides, and seniors. You'll also see us on the road in schools, dance classes, weddings and sports arenas. In addition to our studio we continue to maintain a Kodak Image Center, custom framing operation, full-time professional and amateur photo lab, and a Hallmark Gold Crown store with one of the finest selections of cards and gifts in northeast Georgia.
